Venus Fly Trap
Venus Fly Trap Crew is the first all-female U.S. street-dance crew representing all of the original styles of hip hop dance.
Pringlz (Fort Wayne, IN), often considered “Mother of the crew”, is an award-winning popper who represented as the primary funk stylist for 2 b-boy crews (All Star Alliance and Jedi Imperialz) and was a founding member of the funk-styles crew, Animated Beat Mechanics. The politics, drama, and sexism involved in crew life drove Pringlz and two other "sisters of the scene," Mystique & EvilLynn (also Fort Wayne, IN) to form their own crew based on sisterhood and friendship rather than skills alone.
Amazingly, the crew has added 3 additional members who not only fit the tight sisterhood of the founding members, but bring a high level of skills and experience to match. The newest members include Pandora (Los Angeles, CA), Kadance (Dayton, OH), and T-Marie (Toledo, OH). Each VFT member specializes in one or more styles including popping, locking, breaking & house; and between all 6 members they have over 40 years of experience and training in the underground street-dance scene.
The most recent battle titles won by VFT members include: Pringlz and Pandora - 2nd place in the 2-on-2 popping battle at B-boy Ho-Down (Houston, TX - 2007), T-Marie: 1st place in the 1-on-1 b-girl battle at Enta the Cypha (Columbus, OH - 2006), Kadance: 1st place in the up-styles freestyle battle at I.B.E (Chicago, IL - 2006), and Pandora: 1st Place in the popping battle at b.Supreme (London, England - 2006).
While VFT members focus on building their skills as individual street-dance artists, they are highly motivated as a crew by their shared experiences as women in the street-dance/hip hop culture. Their b.supreme performance is based on these shared experiences as women in hip hop, their passion and love for the art forms, and their drive to innovate into the future.

Haus Frau's
In the beginning there were five strong women - different ages, appearances, personalities and backgrounds... The words "Desperate House Wives" comes to mind. That notion actually led this group to call themselves "Haus Frau's" (german for housewives).
Haus Frau's is a crew of ladies, who have all been representing in the Copenhagen club scene for many years. As individuals they are knowledgeable within different dance styles: old & new school hip-hop, salsa, locking and popping. But it was with house dance they found their common ground. Separately, each dancer has experience in numerous productions throughout Denmark, Sweden, England and Spain.
Initially they gathered to perform at the Scandinavian Battle of the Year in the spring of 2006, but found that this particular collaboration had the foundation to be a long lasting one. PASSION became the keyword, and they put their hearts in this project. The final result was a resounding success and they've been busy ever since.
Last year they performed at the "Who is Who" battle in Paris and at "San Francisco Hip Hop DanceFest". This year they'll be performing at the International Battle of the Year in Germany, at Bboy Hodown in Texas and of course at B.Supreme.
Conscious or not, an all girl crew holding it down like the Haus Frau's do, sends a message. A message saying: it IS possible for women to express themselves physically without it necessarily involving half naked bodies or an overdose of sex appeal. Society seems to have fixated it's standard with the ideal of how women are supposed to appear and dance. Even within the hip-hop world. Sometimes particularly within the hip-hop world!!! The Haus Frau's aren't trying to make a feminist statement by dancing like men, but they feel no need to be "girly" either. Why not?
Because they simply define themselves through dance. End of story.
Haus Fraus will appear twice on stage on Saturday night with two different performances.

Unos Dos Tres
A group of 4 talented French dancers who, having been friends for years, decided in 2005 to join their skills together and create Uno, Dos, Tres. Having all come from a Hip Hop background but with different training in Classical, Modern Jazz, Contemporary, Salsa, Afro.
From the start their main aim has been to show "girls just wanna have fun" Each one of them are known for their personal knowledge and got together to exchange their passion for Hip Hop and House dance by participating in battles and performing in dance events around the world. They've earned recognition in Paris and throughout France for their versatility.
In brief it's a mix of femininity, technique, originality, energy and a touch of French that makes them UNO, DOS, TRES…
Picture of Evoke
Evoke
Evoke is a group of 5 people, 5 personalities, with more than 5 themes. Themes allude to situations in everyday life from the mundane to deep-rooted social issues and politics. Evoke strives to expose these themes through the power of dance.
To be an emotional body in a world full of manly energies and power, to harness the power of conception and creation and challenge global society, the idea of a shift in power is coming.
Evoke is caught up in this virility world. The piece will stimulate in a critical, provocatively, humorous and emotional way. The audience will want to be touched. Emotions shall rise and develop.
The viewer will be reminded of their philosophy of life... The observer can't escape from the objects that will be propounded…

Picture of Decadancetheatre
Decadancetheatre
Decadancetheatre is made up of female dancers from the US, Germany and Japan. Although they don't all speak the same verbal language, hip-hop is their shared form of communication-an urban folk culture they acquired in the clubs and on the streets of the different cities where they grew up. Ready to move out of dancing in the background, they joined together to create a new outlet for hip-hop performance.
Women have not yet established a serious presence in hip-hop culture, particularly in hip-hop dance culture. Decadancetheatre is out to change that by taking hip-hop-the style, the attitude, the energy, and the female dancers--out of the background of music videos and into the forefront of theatrical performance.
